More is NOT always betterJul 27, 2022
Find a happy medium!
Because more is not always better especially when it comes to achieving your weight loss goals. You might be thinking: “that sounds silly of course more weight loss now would be a good thing” but it’s not always and I’m going to tell you why!
- More exercise isn’t always better because you could hurt yourself! On the days we don’t work out are the days that our body repairs itself and grows our muscles back together. If you don’t give it that time, you are more likely to get injured. Not to mention, SORE!
- More vegetables aren’t always better because: HELLO BLOCKAGE. Not all vegetables are high in fiber but most vegetables contain some and eating a lot creates BULK. When I say bulk, I mean like it makes your poops thick and hard to pass. So a happy medium is best and that looks different for everyone!
- More weight loss is not always better. Quicker weight loss means not just fat being lost but muscle and bone too. This is not beneficial or maintainable in the long run! You’ll be miserable, tired and not want to workout at all because you’re not eating enough calories to enjoy the process!
Long story short, don’t do anything you don’t see yourself doing for the rest of your life. Don’t rush and push the process to be quicker than your body wants it to be because it will push back. Take the time to learn about your body and which habits you’re able to maintain because that’s how you’ll get you closer to where you want to be!
